The treatment options listed below are commonly utilized in the process of creating the final product:

• Veneers and Zeneers™ – Minor cosmetic flaws, such as chips, cracks and conspicuous gaps in-between the teeth, and minor malocclusion, can be corrected with porcelain veneers or zirconium Zeneers™. These tooth-shaped dental prosthetics, roughly the thickness of an egg shell or contact lens, are secured to the surfaces of the front teeth with dental cement to mask minor cosmetic flaws and create a uniform, straight, natural-looking, healthy smile. A highly popular and effective treatment, we employ veneers and Zeneers™ often in the course of designing smile makeovers at our Fresno Dental practice, and you can rest assured that we are dedicated to providing unparalleled results.
• Dental Crowns and Bridges – More severe decay or damage may be corrected through the use of dental crowns or bridges. A dental crown, commonly referred to as a “cap” because it is designed to fully encapsulate a damaged or decayed tooth, can be used to treat a tooth that would otherwise require extraction, and which causes pain, discomfort, or compromises the individual’s oral health in some capacity. The affected tooth is prepared by removing any decayed material and the crown is placed over it and secured with dental cement. A dental bridge, designed to treat missing teeth, consists of a false tooth known as a pontic sandwiched in-between two dental crowns. These crowns are placed over the teeth on either side of a gap, anchoring the tooth replacement in place and preventing surrounding teeth from shifting out of position.
• Teeth Whitening – If your teeth are stained or discoloured – even if they’re otherwise healthy, straight, and uniform – it can have a negative impact on the appearance of your smile and your self-confidence and esteem. With professional teeth whitening, either in-office or in the convenience of your home, you can whiten your teeth by up to eight shades or more. The impact this can have on the appearance of your smile can be hard to appreciate until you see the results first-hand, but the results can be dramatic. If you are having dental restorations such as veneers or crowns placed, it may be worthwhile to consider undergoing teeth whitening first so that you can match the color of your dental prosthetics to your new teeth rather than your old teeth.
• Gum Lifting and Reshaping – A gummy smile occurs when the gum tissue conceals more of the surfaces of the teeth than normal or desirable. The overall effect this can have is the appearance of malformed, underdeveloped, or weakened teeth. Even if you enjoy sound oral health and a straight, uniform, bright white smile, extensive gum tissue can detract from the appearance of your teeth. With gum lifting, or gum reshaping, we can eliminate excessive gum tissue with a laser. This technology allows us to modify the gum tissue quickly, safely, and with minimal discomfort, for a more natural-looking smile.
• General Dentistry– The appearance of your teeth is important; after all, your smile can have a real impact on your confidence and self-image. That being said, your oral health is more important. The health of your teeth not only affects function, comfort, and appearance, but your whole body health as well. The link between oral health and whole body health is well documented. Inflammation of the gum tissue and infection has been linked to both diabetes and heart disease.
