Whether a cleaning happens the same day depends on what your exam shows—some patients need a periodontal evaluation first.

Your First Exam Includes

A thorough first visit means fewer surprises later. Dr. Gill's comprehensive new-patient exam covers:

Intra-Oral Camera Tour

See your own teeth, gums, and existing fillings up close on screen — the same view Dr. Gill sees.

Oral Cancer Screening

An extra-oral and intra-oral exam to check for early signs of oral pathology.

TMJ & Bite Evaluation

Jaw joint and chewing-muscle palpation, plus an occlusion and bite classification analysis.

Periodontal Exam

Evaluation of gum tissue health, tone, and any areas needing attention.

Hard Tissue Exam

A full charting of existing fillings, restorations, and any new areas of decay.

Digital X-Rays, If Needed

Low-dose digital imaging to see what's happening below the surface, only when clinically indicated.

What Should I Bring?

✓ Recent X-rays from a prior dentist, if available

✓ Completed new-patient forms, if sent ahead of time

We work with a range of PPO dental insurance plans and offer self-pay and Premier Club membership options for patients without insurance. Our team can help verify your benefits before your visit.

Comfort, Accessibility & Anxiety

If dental visits make you anxious, or you have mobility, sensory, or communication needs, let our team know when you schedule. We're glad to adjust pacing, explain each step in advance, or make other accommodations that help you feel at ease.

Cancellation Policy: Please give at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule or cancel. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed without notice, carry a $75 fee.
