Fold clean gauze, place it directly over the site, and bite firmly for 20 minutes without checking. Repeat once if needed. Sit upright, avoid rinsing, spitting, straws, smoking, and hot drinks for the rest of the day. If bleeding is heavy after two attempts at pressure, call us.
